Constipation: Hard stools you must manually remove are not normal. Blood and yellow liquid are not normal. Best to have this evaluated by a healthcare provider. Best of luck.

Chronic constipation: I would recommend stool softener and soluble fiber such as Fibercon or metamucil. Physical activity and foods high in dietary fiber may also be helpful. The blood is most likely related to minor trauma from the hard stool itself. If these measures aren't helpful I would recommend following up with a physician rather than using harsh laxatives.
