You should see your: primary care. These happen to be some of the more superficial nodes on your body. Most nodes are actually in places you cannot palpate - chest cavity, and abdomen. Tender with any force implies they might be inflamed in which case, make note of any other symptoms as well: Chills, sweats, weight loss, or gain, changes in your periods, appetite or sleep, mood, or stamina. Most likely- benign.

Likely abnormal: Nodes shouldn't be painful when "nothing" is going on. This suggests some reactive changes of the nodes. Size also helps determine "abnormality". For epitrochlear nodes, >5mm is abnormal, and any palpable popliteal nodes of "any" size is abnormal. Again this doesn't mean things like cancer as I know that often comes up. But you should seek help from your doctor. Best of luck.
