HIV exposure ?: Hi. If you think you have been exposed to the human immunodeficiency virus it is best to talk to a provider or seek assistance from a clinic or healthcare center that specializes in STDs or HIV health sooner than later. Many of these centers can offer counseling, rapid testing (and anonymous testing) along with additional resources as needed.

Don't wait if acute.: If there is a high risk exposure one can get a viral RNA test after 21 days that is 100% accurate. The antibody testing that is routine for HIV can miss infection for up to six months after exposure.
