Pain: Heart attack pain is usually described more as a pressure and ache in the neck and arm rather than shooting pain. Shooting pain sounds more like it has a nervous system component, perhaps an issue in the cervical spine. A doctor can evaluate and decide if studies are warranted to further discriminate.

Not really but: The most common path for cardiac pain such as from a heart attack is either straight chest heaviness or pressure in the sternal region or a radiating pain from the chest to the left shoulder and down the arm. I've not heard the detour to the ear & neck although anything is possible. I'm concerned you have asthma as well so if this picture is new to you you should be seen for further workup.
