Cervical stenosis: The metal box is a titanium cage that replaces the vertebral body and disc material that has been removed. The titanium cage will last a lifetime, is MRI compatible, and will not set off metal detectors at the airport. The hospital stay is 1-2 days if there is no significant weakness.
