If the pain is: So severe, then you need to be evaluated urgently. This could be something as simple as a severe tension headache or possibly a migraine(another form of headache) but could represent more concerning things like infections around the brain or bleed around/in the brain. While the later are much less likely, if the pain is very severe and you've never had it like this before, seek urgent help!

Best to call your Dr: It would be best to see your doctor. These headaches may be migraine headaches. Other possible causes may be evaluated by your doctor such as ear problems, hormonal issues, stress, blood pressure, etc. Please see your doctor.
