Hydrate: The key treatment for acute gastroenteritis is hydration with some salt replacement. Theraflu is the perfect supplement, but watered down gatorade is good too. Keep hydrating and eat bland foods as tolerated (rice, cereal, pretzel, toast, maybe banana). Seek urgent care if you cannot hydrate due to nausea, if fever not responding to Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Nsaid, or if abdominal pain suddenly worsens.
