See surgeon: Make an appt to see his neurosurgeon that performed the operation, or an associate. Back surgery should always have follow up. Left hand pain if it is really localized in the hand should follow up with internist to determine if this is neurologic or bone related.

Go back to doctor: No solutions unfortunately without clinical examination and review of previous records. Your dad condition may be independent of his previous surgeries. He must go to see his doctor, good lick and hope he gets better soon without any surgery.
