Evaluation by doctor: I can't know for sure but it doesn't sound as if you have a neurological problem such as would occur in a patient with stroke or brain trauma but it certainly wouldn't hurt for a neurologist to examine you. If no neurological problem is found then, the next step is to get an evaluation by a speech pathologist. Once the problem is defined a treatment plan can be offered.
