Is every pathogen detectable through the dna/rna no matter what body fluid/sample is used? exposure was not recent buy many years afterward..?

Depends: If the pathogen is present in the body fluid and appropriate probe is used, yes, all pathogens can be detected with molecular methods. Some disorders due to pathogens persist even after the pathogen is gone, e.g. post-streptococcal kidney and heart disease.

Testing infection: Usually virus such as Hepatitis B or C can be detecetd through viral DNA and RNA. But no all bacterial or viral infections it is necessary. Howver, We do have cultures or serologies or other toxins to detect the presence of these pathogens
