Rule out voice prob.: If you had a general anesthetic with endotracheal intubation, it is possible that you may have sustained a minor injury to the vocal folds. This is usually temporary and should resolve without any specific treatment. However, if the soreness and lymphadenopathy persist for more than 3 to 4 weeks, see an ENT doctor to examine the larynx to rule out any injury to the vocal folds.
