Indeterminate: Hi. What prompted your doctor to check plasma metanephrines? The normetanephrine is indeterminate in my opinion. You can see levels in that range from a variety on non-pheochromocytoma conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure, sepsis, hemorrhage, etc, etc). If clinical suspicion for pheo is high, I'd keep the work up going till you either rule it in or rule it out. Good luck!
