GERD: epigastric pin that gets worse after eating and laying down is ussualy associated with gastro-esophageal reflux disease. The drug of choice would be nexium (esomeprazole) or related/ omeprazole and you would probably benefit from a wedge pillow as well. Proper posture during eating helps too, avoid coffe, caffeine/tea, avoid smoking and alcohol. If symptoms do not get better consult a gastroenterologist.
