Loss of insight : Psychotic illnesses symptoms include a disturbance in perceptions...i.e hearing voices, and/or distortion of thinking such as feeling paranoid and suspicious . HOWEVER, they are almost always (with exceptions) associated with impairment of insight, which is the ability of a person to recognize he/she has mental illness. so to someone with Psychosis, he/she is not suffering from any disease.
