A member asked:

After a neuro exam mr dr said the reflexes on my left arm is weak. is this a symptom of als?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not by itself: If the only abnormality on your neurological exam is "weak" reflex in the left arm (which would technically be the triceps or the biceps reflex since the arm is that part of the upper extremity between shoulder and elbow) then, nobody could make a diagnosis of ALS based on this finding alone. Also, you are in the wrong age group for ALS and women are far less affected than men. All the best.
