Maybe: A normal MRI is useful to show that there is no abnormality SEEN on the exam. ALS, or other early lesions in the brain or spinal cord may not be seen on MRI. It is important to follow up with your doctor and not take a normal MRI to mean that there is no abnormality

Doubtful: You are not describing ALS, and fluctuating focal weakness might be seen in complex or classical migraine, and rarer yet, bilateral arterial obstructions. Please visit a neurologist and get this addressed.
