Gas pains: Gas most Likely cause here due to constipation. Sharp abdominal pain can be due to other reasons. Zantac (ranitidine) is to treat peptic ulcer disease or Acid Reflux (GERD). Need to ask where is the sharp abdominal pain upper vs. Lower abdomen? Does it get worse or better after eating? Any nausea or vomiting? ? Oxycontin does constipation. Please visit your friendly primary care doc.
