toxins are chemicals and toxins could also be something released in the blood stream as a by product to an infectious disease? did i miss anything?

Toxins: Formally, toxins are specifically biologically produced poisonous substances (created within organisms or living cells). Thus, there are a broad range of chemicals that are covered by this term. However, some people expand the definition to include synthetic, environmental poisons as well. These would probably be better described as poisons or toxicants though.
