Question about diprivan--what are effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sleepiness, mainly: Diprivan, or propofol, is a medication that produces sleep. It is often used at the start of general anesthesia. It can also be used for sedation. While it is a very safe medication when used by people trained in anesthesiology, it can cause blood pressure to drop and can also slow or stop breathing. Monitoring is essential. Propofol is well tolerated by most people and doesn't cause nausea.
