Rephrase question: Plase rephrase your question. What steps are you reffering here. Iron dextran infusion is indicated if you can't tolerate or if you do not respond to the oral iron replacement medication. You are going to be given small dose as a testing dose prior to the iron infusion to make sure that you do not have allergic reaction. It is otherwise a well tolerable therapy. Discuss with your doctor further.
