I have diverticulosis & have abdominal discomfort with rectal bleeding & clots on & off for a week. have seen rectal surgeon, no hemherriods. ?

Needs evaluation: With abdominal pain and rectal bleeding you need a colonoscopy to evaluate this further.

See gastroenterologi: You need to see a GI Doctor and consider getting a colonoscopy especially if there is a family history of polyps or colon cancer.

Diverticulosis and: Diverticulitis can cause bleeding. The absence of hemorrhoids increases the chances that your bleeding could be due to the diverticula. See your doctor/surgeon, you may need IV antibiotics, CT scan of the abdomen/pelvis, or potentially surgery if the symptoms do not resolve.
