Diverticulosis and: Diverticulitis can cause bleeding. The absence of hemorrhoids increases the chances that your bleeding could be due to the diverticula. See your doctor/surgeon, you may need IV antibiotics, CT scan of the abdomen/pelvis, or potentially surgery if the symptoms do not resolve.
