Yes, to both.: Certainly, pharyngitis can cause enlargement of lower jaw lymph nodes. Lymph nodes can become enlarged and tender in response to any regional or local infection. Yes: Both entities can cause enlarged lymph nodes. There are also other reasons. You are taking antibiotics and have had a throat culture. If your enlarged nodes persist, you must be evaluated by an ENT doc.
