Are differences: Esthetic in dentistry circles tends to focus on appearance and restoring function as well. Cosmetic tends to just focus on appearance improvement, which may be important to the individual, but the procedure is not designed to improve function. If function improvement is a goal, then its benefits need to be weighed with the risks of going under.

Cosmetic dentistry: These are essentially the same. Start by having an evaluation and discuss all of your concerns and questions before you have any kind of treatment.

Yes: Two descriptions for the same goal- to improve the appearance of teeth and smile. Be aware that this is not a true specialty in dentistry and while this is part of what all General Dentists and Prosthodontists do on a regular basis, as in everything else in life, results can vary based upon training, experience and abilities. Explore your options and ask for before\after photos & recommendations

Cosmetic vs esthetic: Esthetic vs Cosmetic dentistry. The words are interchangeable when referring to an enhancement of a persons smile. I like to use the term Aesthetic dentistry, which is the same as esthetic and cosmetic, but the actual terms mean different things. Aesthetic refers to something of beauty while cosmetic means "covering up" of something such as makeup.

They are the same: Cosmetic and esthetic dentistry are the same; however, not all dentists who practice have the same esthetic results or the same attention to details that esthetic dentistry requires. Some dentists can create good results with minimal effort, whereas some dentists get great results with more detailed, precise effort.

Yes...: I would seek the care of a reputable dentist to help you. If you do not have one, you can seek online reviews. Nothing beats the advice of a reputable, honest, and quality and service oriented dentist.

Same: Different names for the same description of treatment done for appearance improvement. There is no such specialty in dentistry and anyone who refers to themselves as such is simply indicating that they do this type of treatment.

Cosmetic dentistry: I would consider them the same. Cosmetic dentistry is the use of restorations (mostly all ceramic) to enhance one's appearance by making ones teeth, gums, lips and smile, the esthetic zone, drop dead gorgeous .

Not Necessarily Same: Cosmetic Dentistry can include surgery to restore missing anatomy, including bone and soft tissue; think cosmetic surgery. Esthetic Dentistry can include more material science and Golden Proportion restoration ideology. However, not all Dentists practice these ideologies in this strict sense.

Cosmetic dentistry: They are the same. It is important to discuss your concerns and desired outcomes with the dentist. Be sure to see before and after photos of treatment the doctor has completed.

Cosmetic vs esthetic: The short answer is yes, cosmetic and esthetic dentistry mean the same thing. They are terms dentists use to describe any dental work that improves the appearance of your smile. There are many factors to consider before beginning cosmetic treatment. The most important is choosing the right dentist, because you must be able to trust him or her to provide honest information and quality work
