Is it normal to keep developing hemangiomas? my 5 month old has about 12 small ones, 2 more very tiny ones have started to appear on feet and hands.

See dermatologist: Babies can have hemangiomas usually 1or 2 big ones, but your baby has12 small ones and still getting more .after some months hemangioma start getting smaller and eventually disappear.Since more new ones coming up better consult dermatologist to get som e treatment now or later

See Your Doctor: 5 mos old with "14 hemangiomas". These are benign vascular tumors which resolve in most by age 2-3 yrs. However infants with > 5 have an increased risk of them occuring in organs particularly the liver. Their presence can cause impairment to the bloodflow in that organ. Your baby should be further evaluated by the pediatrician for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.
