My friend has this lump on the back and left side of his neck. it is causing him pain n he is coughing. up blood and blow blood out of nose.

Hemoptysis: He may have a lymph node with, or due to, an underlying infection. The coughing up of blood in certainly concerning for an underlying process that needs to be evaluated. It could be a bronchitis if mild blood tinged sputum, or something more serious if copious amounts of blood. get him evaluated SOON! Best wishes.
