Anorexia effects: Anorexia takes an enormous toll on the body. The disorder can damage almost every body system (malnutrition). The first victim of anorexia is often the bones, and the damage happens very early in the course of the disease. When it starts in adolescence, right at the time when you are supposed to be developing critical bone mass, your whole body frame is diminished instead.
