Continue treatment : there's no "trick" or shortcut to treating schizoaffective disorder. It sounds like ur doing a great job of sticking with ur treatment, & are finding it beneficial in some ways (u mention ur brain is getting healed). I would keep up the good work u've been putting into ur treatment, mention any symptoms, like persistent low mood, to your doc, & work together to continue to improve! :)

A chemical trick : The medications used as mood stabilizers work in multiple ways to improve neurotransmission, increase the release of neurotransmitters in the brain, regulate the cell membrane's excitability, and balance the flux of ions across the membranes, etc. The healing effect of those medications is observed in the behavior and mood regulation. If there is good response, then it means that is working.
