Bleeding: some spotting might be associated with spotting if the cervix was touched, but if your periods are irregular anyway that's likely the issue. You probably need to see a gynecologist if this is a chronic problem for you. You could have some ovulation dysfunction, thyroid issue, endometriosis, etc. The only way to know for sure is get an evaluation.
