ADHD medicine: Yes, it is a lot and excessive. The normal dose is 5 to 20 mg per dose two to three times daily (total of 60 daily). Too much Ritalin (methylphenidate) can cause hypertension, depression, psychological dependance, weight loss and insomnia. I would rather see a patient on a different drug and over dose for effect needed.

Ritalin (methylphenidate): That is well above the therapeutic dose. Please consult your doctor & monitor your heart status.
