Serious Vascular Dz: Acute Gangrene in a non-diabetic patient usually means serious vascular blockage. The dry gangrene may or may not progress. If it is painful, it will need immediate intervention such as revascularization or amputation. In diabetics it is called wet gangrene and it may not be painful, but can progress and will require above treatments along with antibiotics
