Irregular menses: Irregular menses and skipping periods all together for a month are not unusual for women your age. If you are having unprotected intercourse you need to make sure you are not pregnant, by doing a home pregnancy test if your period is more than 7 days late. Your cycles can be regulated by oral contraceptive pill use for 3-6 months if you want to have a regular period.

Pregnant?: The only reason for your delay that you can easily test for at home is pregnancy. There are many other possibilities if you are not pregnant, and you could see your doctor to determine the cause.
