See your doctor: If the swelling has persisted after a week of "sprain" it may be more than that and it would be prudent to see your doctor to rule out a fracture.

Ankle sprain: Conservative treatment for an ankle sprain includes ankle rest, ice, elevation and compression in addition to non-steroidal antiinflammatory medications. If this has not provided any reduction in symptoms, then go see your doctor to ensure it is not a more serious injury.
