Could a tick bite develop a hematoma instead of a rash? got bitten in cuba by some insect and got an egg sized hematoma. doctor didn't think it could. but 3 weeks exhausted and now neck stiffness!

Possible infection: Tick bite do not always cause a rash, and in theory, any insect bite or trauma could cause a hematoma. Your description suggests a possible infection. Please see a doctor for evaluation and appropriate treatment
