Not likely: Shingles is usually not recurrent and affects the area supplied by only one spinal nerve root. Therefore the gluteal lesions and neck are not related. Please consult and infectious disease specialist for proper diagnosis and care. You may wish to get consultation with a pain specialist as well to forestall the chronic that can some times result form shingles.
