A member asked:

Is my liver not producing enough bile? my blood test show 0.2 of the reference range 0.0-1.9. isn't this a bad thing? ._.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: The reference range is usually a given range where 95% of the NORMAL population falls (95% confidence interval). You are within this so you are fine. And this test is measuring bilirubin, not bile. It doesn't measure production of bile---though it can be elevated if you have a blockage preventing excretion of bile.
