Mildly high: A TSH of 4.84 means that your pituitary gland is not completely happy with your thyroid level, and is trying to get your thyroid to produce more thyroid hormone. Considering your history of RA, you may also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, which can eventually cause your thyroid to fail. You should have a free T4 level, though it is likely to still be normal.
