Pale: After the top layer peals away the newer skin below will not have the mature pigment production needed to keep you tanned evenly.You will have variation from pale in the newly pealed areas to deeper tan in the areas that did not burn.It may take a year or more before your tone is even. Liberal use of a sunblock can lighten the tanned areas so the change isn't as noticeable.
