Its for your PAIN: Tylenol (acetaminophen) #4 is an Opiate Analgesic like Vicodin Used for PAIN . it contains 60mg of codeine and 300mg of Tylenol (acetaminophen). Codeine metabolizes into morphine (1/10th of the dose) so its about 6mg of oral morphine per does with Tylenol (acetaminophen) for the added pain relief. As Hydrocodone has been rescheduled to CII, it leaves physician's with codeine as the strongest opiate that can be refilled, less habit forming.
