How long do ear infections typically take to resolve?

Days to Weeks: In children the symptoms should clear in 2-3 days . The fluid present even with antibiotics may take 3-4 weeks.Thus some experts suggest followup exams to make sure the ear is 100% healed sebveral weeks following the onset of the infection.
