In Math - it is : a ratio. Ratios are "higher" when the Numerator is higher in RELATIVE proportion to the denominator. The Microalb ratio followed over time it gives you an idea of how much micro kidney injury you have ( for example from Diabetes of or uncontrolled High blood pressure) . High Microalb and/or Low creatinine in urine is BAD

Ratio's: A ratio depends on if one number is higher or lower than the norm so if one is off then, being high or low, will make the ratio be off. Not sure what the norm ratios for the lab u are using are, but usually a Urine MA above 3 is high.
