Yes: It can. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant but not a good pain reliever. You should rest, apply heat, get a message, have physical therapy, consider Yoga, and OTC analgesics may be helpful. You list Advil (ibuprofen). If that doesn't help, try Naproxen 2 tabs twice day with food. (caution: can cause stomach upset). Time is your best ally.
