A member asked:

Oral nystatin has a sucrose ingredient in it, yeast feeds off of sugar so how is a person supposed to get rid of oral thrush?

Nystatin works: by disrupting the cell wall of the yeast. The yeast cannot survive without a wall. The sucrose in the preparation should have no impact on the medication efficacy.

Don't worry,it works: The anti fungal properties of Nystatin more than offset any yeast benefit that may arise from the solution. It's really minimal. good luck.
