Unusual: All of these drugs are supposed to help perioral dermatitis. However the problem may be from irritation from the Retin-A since a Doxycycline reaction would be expected to be more generalized especially on sun-exposed areas. Stop the Retin A (tretinoin) for a week and see if this makes any difference. It is also a good idea to call the dermatologist regarding his recommendations also.
