Possibly Migraine: Unilateral episodic Headache with some systemic symptoms like what you described can be from Migraine type of headache. Although it is more common in Female , male tends to get what is called Cluster headache which come on suddenly and some times wakes one up from sleep. These are treatable conditions. Please consult your doctor to make sure nothing else is going on and proper Rx can be initiated
