See doc: Good news is, he is feeling fine, so I think simply having him see the dr. in the next day or so would be wise and get him diagnosed and treated. Good luck.

Yes: If the rash looks like lots of dots that do not go away when you press on them, he may have something like Henoch Schoenlein purpura, a condition that presents with this kind if rash and involves the kidneys. If this is not the case it is still advisable to have a medical professional look at the rash for other causes.
