I'm taking meloxicam mobic for 2 years now for my severe scoliosis, is this not dangerous for maintenance coz i cant survive the pain without this?

Risk vs. Reward: Your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. If there is no side effects or drug intolerance, your blood tests are within normal limits and your pain is manageable, you are in a good shape. Take care.

Lab work: Usually if someone is on an anti inflammatory like Meloxicam for long term treatment, we recommend blood work to check kidney and liver function. Sometimes these can slowdown with these medications. Check with your doctor about getting some bloodwork.
