Creatinine of 8: When your creatinine (C) is 8, you should do is seek out a nephrologist (N) to see if you need to start some type of dialysis. A C of 8 is more significant in a 120 lb white female than a 180 lb. black male. Some of the symptoms that necessitate the start of dialysis are nausea, vomiting, itching, reversal of the day-night sleeping pattern, among others. See a N for the answer to your question.

See a doctor: if this is an acute worsening of renal function, you need to see a doctor immediately (i.e. go to the ED). if this is a slow worsening over time, we are probably going to reach the need for dialysis/transplant soon - speak a nephrologist
