A member asked:

If were to i have optic neuritis and blepharitis would the warm compresses make the optic neuritis worse ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Warm compresses OK: The warm compresses for blepharitis should have no adverse effect optic neuritis. However, if the optic neuritis is currently active, there can be discomfort on eye movement, and with pressure on the eye. I would recommend this type of warm compress. Take a clean wash rag and soak it with fairly warm water from the tap. When you wring out the rag it will cool slightly and be safe to use 5-10 min
