Possibly viral: When asthma does not respond to medications that are known to be highly effective for treating it, you have to think about either difficult-to-control asthma or the possibility that the symptoms aren't really due to asthma. You need to see an allergist. There are several excellent allergists in the Madison area, such as Dr. Don Bukstein
