A member asked:

If no period for 3 months and without intervention i got period because i have pcos. would that mean thesame eggproduced 3 mo ago caused my period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: If you have PCO, you are not ovulating. The lining gradually thickens, but gets to a point where it breaks down and you have bleeding. This is not a true period. You need cycle regulation, because if this process goes on for several years, you will have an increased risk of uterine cancer.
